How did Germans feel differently than other Europeans about the war

I will assume here that the question here refers to the Second World War, please let me know if it's other wise:)

For the Germans, this was an offensive war, which means that they were the ones attacking and they had very positive attitude to the war: they believed it would bring them "greatness".
In contrast, other European nations feared the war and they wanted it to finish as soon as possible or best not happen.
