What is a recessive gene?

A recessive gene is simply a gene that is not EXPRESSED! Recessive and dominant do not have anything to do with how "common" they are. Dominant just means it is expressed more often.

Recessive would be for example blue eyes or blonde hair.

Hope this helps!
