to find the Area of a rectangle use this formula:

A=w*l (width*length)

So,

A=
(2)/(3) * (1)/(3)

2*1=2
and
3*3=9

So,

(2)/(9)

Thus, your answer is,
(2)/(9)ft ^(2).
