Add the fractions and simplify the answere:1/2+2/3

You would find the common denominator(something they both can multpily and get)  which is 6 and whatever you do to the bottom u do to the top 2 times 2 is 6 and 1 times 2 is 2 so the one fraction is 1+ 4 over 6

1st Find lowest common denominator:

3*(1/2) + 2*(2/3)
3/6 + 4/6

Now all you have to do is add the numerator - the denominator stays the same through the addition process:

(3 + 4)/6 = 7/6 = 1 1/6
