quick review of transcription: info that has been encoded into the DNA is duplicated to an RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) molecule. The molecule is then sent to the cytoplasm (the gel-like protection around the cell membrane). This helps bring together the all the pieces that are necessary for the protein synthesis. They are amino acids, tRNA, ribosomes, and other components. When in the cytoplasm the protein polymers are synthesized through means of chemical reactions. Then it gets converted to messenger RNA..... And on and on the process goes.

Hopefully this helped and good luck. If you need me to go into further detail just let me know.
