To find 15 L increased by 60%, we do:
15*1000 = 15 000
15 000 * 0.6 = 9 000
15 000 + 9 000 = 24 000
24 000 / 1 000 = 24 L
15 L increased by 60% is 24 L

so find 60% and add that to 15
percent means partst ouf ot 100
60%=60/100=6/1=3/5
60 percent of 15
'of' means mulitply
60% times 15
3/5 times 15
45/5
9
add that to 15
15+9=24
answer is 24 liters
