Kaiser's abdication or his giving up of the throne in one way or another gave a temporary peace to the world because the Allies and the Central Powers agreed for a ceasefire. However, the ceasefire is believed not to last for a very long time.

When he abdicated the throne, he then fled the country. As a result Germany lost a leader. Germans were not sure what to do. Some wanted to change to a democratic government while others opted to have a strong leader while others wanted a communist government.
