After Pennsylvania experienced its oil boom in 1859, three other states discovered vast oil reserves. The following states are Texas and Louisiana. It was a dramatic change in the economy of United States during the oil boom in Texas. It also called as the gusher age - the discovery of petroleum preserve near Beaumont, Texas. In Louisiana, they discovered the first oil well.
