An igneous rock is formed by the cooling and solidification of lava (or magma) of volcano. Igneous rock can also be called as magmatic rock, is an important rock found on earth along with sedimentary and metamorphic rock. According to the rock cycle an igneous rock can be converted into another igneous rock by the process of melting and re solidifying of rocks. It can also be converted into sedimentary rocks by the process called weathering and recemtation. It can be converted into metamorphic rock by applying great pressure and heat on it.
