angle 7 is 40 degrees because if the whole thing is 180 and 180 -140 is 40. and the angles on the bottom line mirror the angles on top, so if the smaller angle on top is 40 degrees, so is the one on the bottom

angle 7 is equal to 3. the line cutting through has a degree of 180. minus 140 from 180 to get the desired angle which is 40 degrees
