Why did the british want the french out of the ohio river valley

There were three reasons why they want them out:

Fur - beavers living beside the river have high-quality fur that will sell very high.

Transportation - routes are said to be very easy to make once they use this as a mode of transportation.

Natural Resources - for the sake of more money; thus more power.
