The statement is true, access to water and sanitation are important factors in a population's general health and well being. Water is very essential to life and indispensable in human's daily activities. Its very important that the source of water in a community is clean and free from all microbes. This is because, the contermination of a water source which serves a community may result in disease outbreak in that community which may lead to multiple death before the disease is arrested. The same applies to sanitation.
