sunlight is needed for photosynthesis as its energy is trapped by the chlorophyll to obtain food. increased sunlight and light intensity of about 25 to 35 degrees us the optimum temperature so if it lower it will slow down the rate of photosynthesis and it also depends on the color of light absorbed for example green light cant be absorbed.
