(5x-3)/2 = 2x+1

1. Multiply each side by 2. Result: 5x-3 = 4x + 2

2. To cancel out the -3, add positive 3 to each side. Result: 5x=4x+5

3. Subtract 4x from right side and do the same to the other side. Result: x = 5

All you then need to do is substitute x=5 into the original expression. 5(5) - 3 = 22

The length of JK equals 22.
