Three friends entered a race for charity . Ellen finished 12.5 min. Fran finished 12.05 min. Ivy finished 12.55 min. Which girl finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd? Explain. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Ivy finished first, then Fran finished second place, and Ellen finished third. This is because 12.55 is bigger than the others. And 12.05is bigger than 12.5. And 12.5 is smaller than 12.55 and 12.05.
