PLEASE ANSWER ME.........How does selective breeding work?

basically, people or the breeder gets two animal or anything of different gender together and force them to breed is selective breeding

Basically, the breeder selects individuals with desired traits (high milk yields, lots of wool etc) and keeps breeding then until the descendants display a very exaggerated set of traits.
