What is the value of 3^2?

3² = ?



a = base
2 = exponent

Multiply the base itself how many times it says on the exponent.

3² = ?

3² = 3 × 3 = 9
3² = 9

The value would be 9, because 3 to the 2nd exponent would mean you multiply 3 by itself and doing that you get 9.
