2x + y = -6
y = ⁻¹/₃x - 1

2x + (⁻¹/₃x - 1) = -6
2x - ¹/₃x - 1 = -6
1²/₃x - 1 = -6
+ 1 + 1
1²/₃x = -5
1²/₃ 1²/₃
x = -3

y = ⁻¹/₃x - 1
y = ⁻¹/₃(-3) - 1
y = 1 - 1
y = 0
(x, y)= (-3, 0)

Graph the system below and write its solution. 2X+Y=-6 Y= -1/3X-1-example-1
