$450 was spent for the entire 3 months.
If equal amount was spent for each month.
Amount for each month = 450 / 3 = 150
Amount spent for each month is $150.

Well, if you want to know the money every 1 month and you only have the clue, $450 in 3 months, then you want to divide 450/3= 150 so he earns $150 each month!
