Like I said earlier, I've had to take MANY Unit tests about The Diary of Anne Frank, so you could trust me. ;-)
The conflict is that Mr. Van Daan smokes in the house and tells MANY rude and hurtful comments to Mrs. Van Daan. He also tried selling Mrs. Van Daan's VALUABLE clothes and stuff so he could have money to purchase cigarettes.
