It could be argued that India was partitioned to create Pakistan due to a "religious" form of nationalism, although there were many other factors as well--included ethnic factors.

I believe the answer is: Religious

Religious nationalism refers to the principle of nationalism that is formed due to the similar identity under a certain religion. Pakistan and India was once a same territory, but later on separated due to massive conflicts that exist between the Hindu and Muslim population.
