the four main layers of the atmosphere are, troposphere, stratosphere,mesosphere and thermosphere. the troposphere is the closest to the earth and is the place where snow, rains and storms are formed. the ozone layer, which protects the earth from UV rays is in the stratosphere, mesosphere is a cold layer but astorids and other objects burns up in the mesosphere, temperature in the thermosphere is really hot(thousands of degrees).
