After the Second Continental Congress appointed George Washington as the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, he organized the American troops, ammunition, and supplies. George Washington found the soldiers hardly united, untrained, half-starving, and unequipped. He had to attend to supplies, logistics, and training, he encouraged morale, and held together the army.
