The first step of a work to be completed is: A draft that is the first organized exhibition of ideas, is a guide, a provisional version of a text. A draft should summarize briefly the expected content of the work, organizing the content in a coherent and sensible manner.

A brief "first-step" presentation is called a draft. Draft get expanded and then reworked and then you get a result or a piece of work in the end.
