A reform movement that focused on urban problems

It was the Progressive movement. In America it tried to tackle the problems brought about by industrialization such as the widening gap between rich and poor, unsafe working environments, crime and other issues. They believe that education; well-organized work place can help resolve these problems and help improve people’s lives.
