The New Deal legislation sought to help farmers by advising them to try other methods of agriculture as well as restrict production because a surplus would lead to a decrease in demand that lower prices. Though they were hesitant at first, the New Deal worked and helped uplift their lives.

The new deal was the plan created by Franklin Delano Roosevelt between 1933 and 1937, with the aim to promote social and economical reforms, in order to exit from the depression that had hit the country in the 1929. As for agriculture, the plan encourage farmers to pursue new methods of growing corps, while the industry was invited to restrict production in order to avoid lower prices.
