Many experts have argued for the elimination of rote memorization as a method for learning mathematical facts such as basic operations and properties. They believe that other instructional practices are more effective. What do you think? (anyone have knowledge about rote memorization)

I think they should keep it around, even if it might not be the most efficient strategy. After all, what if you need to solve a problem using multiple strategies?
