If 1 factor of 6x3 + 23x2 − 6x − 8 is (x + 4), what are the other 2 factors?

use synthetic division to find the quadratic:

-4 | 6 23 -6 -8
6 -24 4 | 8
—————-
6 -1 -2 | 0 = 6x²-x-2 = (3x+1)(2x-1)

So the other two factors are 3x+1 and 2x-1.
