The width of a rectangle is 6 kilometers less than twice its length. if the area of the rectangle is 176 square kilometers, find the dimensions of the rectangle

Let w and 2w-6 be the width and length, respectively. Then:
w(2w-6)=176
2w²-6w-176=0
(2w+16)(w-11 )=0
w=-16/2 or 11
If the width is 11 km, then the length is 16 km
