What is the slope of the line whose x-intercept is -5 and y-intercept is 8?

To find the slope, we find the difference of the y values divided by the difference of the x values.
The 2 points are: (-5,0) and (0,8)

y2-y1/x2-x1
8-0/0+5
8/5 is the slope of this line.
