China has five (5) autonomous regions namely: Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Tibet (Xizang) and Xinjiang. Autonomous region is a first-level administrative division of China that has its own local government, and has more legislative rights. China's autonomous regions don't have much authority to rule themselves despite their name.
