Which explains how the king of Calydon contributes to the central conflict in “Atalanta”: the fleet-footed huntress?

He encourages Atalanta to sew with the women instead of hunt: this puts Atalanta at odds with the expectations of society....... I had a la test got this answe correct

The central theme of Atalanta shows that what is important is how you behave and not what your gender is. The king is the one way by which the story shows the prejudice men have toward Atalanta as he says to her that she should sew with other women instead to hunting.
