Are absolute value functions differentiable? For example, I have f(x)=abs(x-3) on the interval [2,4]. If it is not differentiable, then I can't use Rolle's theorem, but I don't know if it is or isn't differentiable. How do I tell?

I took the derivative and I got (x-3)/(abs(x-3)), but I don't think that's right?
