This instrument is called the Aulos. It is an ancient Greek wind instrument that is often depicted in Greek art. It is also known by the names kalamos and libykos lotos. A musician who performed using an Aulos was called an Aulete. Marsyas the satyr is credited with being either the inventor or the propagator of the aulos.
