What is the sac that holds the testes and helps regulate their temperature?

The testes lie between the thighs, in a pair of pouch-like sacs called scrotums or scrotal sacs. The scrotums are outside the main body cavity and thus are at a slightly lower temperature than body temperature.The lower temperature is essential for the sperms to develop properly.
