The majority of the elderly population will suffer at some point from changes in their sensory systems. In particular, they could suffer from diseases that impact severely their vision, such as cataracts, macular degeneration and glaucoma. They could also lose part of their hearing, smell taste. Finally, they could suffer from problems with their peripheral sensation.
