Multiply and divide by
1-√(3)


(1)/(1+√(3))* (1-√(3))/(1-√(3))

Using identity
(a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2


(1-√(3))/((1^2-√(3)^2))=(1-√(3))/((1-3))


(1-√(3))/(-2)=(√(3)-1)/(2)

To divide a number with a surd, we rationalize the surd.
