A random variable X has a mean of 10 and a standard deviation of 3. If two is added to each value of X, what will the new mean and standard deviation be?

I'm really not sure how to even go about this, any help given is appreciated.
Thank you!

the mean will go up two since the mean is basically the average so 12. but the sd will not move since your not changing the distance between the numbers.
