Inflammation is the process that occurs when your body destroys pathogens that it has previously encountered before the pathogens are able to cause disease. true

False. Inflamation is a first response to injury or infection. The innate immune response is mediated by molecular mediators such as histamines and immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells. Inflammation is not adapative and does not have memory, but is rather a generic response to pathogens.
