Area of the square is 0.75 x 0.75 = 0.5625

Area of a triangle is 0.5 x base x height. So I this case 0.5 x 0.75 x 0.8 = 0.3
There are 4 triangles so 0.3 x 4 = 1.2

Add the triangles and the square 1.2 + 0.5625 = 1.7625 square inches
