What is more likely to happen if wetlands are drained?

the plants and animals would end up dying. This may lead to the migration of animals in search of new land. this ofc would affect the human population if there was any around the area.

Most of the wildlife will be affected, usually the wildlife there need the water in order to live properly. The trees that grow there will become endangered (only in that area) and the will affect the animals too because some birds live in those trees. Hope this helped.
