Why is the Chinese writing so difficult

Hey there!
It's all in the symbols. Here, we have an alphabet, 26 letters. It's not that way in China. They have many, many, different symbols, each for different things.
It's not that it's hard, it's that it's different and memorization is required. Also, it's much easier to learn languages when you grow up with them, as you obtain more knowledge than you ever will in your lifetime (for the most part) at the very young ages. Then, your brain is like a metaphorical sponge.
