what do macbeths thoughts and his declaration to lady macbeth reveal about his motivations and internal conflict?

Macbeth doesn't really want to kill the King, he would rather enjoy his new title which should be, worn now in their newest gloss, Not cast aside so soon.

Macbeth is a man who probably knows the right thing to do but holds too many insecurities to stand for his convictions.
