Compare and contrast a compound light microscope and a transmission electron microscope. Be sure to discuss the structure and operation of each, as well as the function and usefulness of each when examining specimens.

A compound light microscope uses visible light to view a specimen. It basically uses a high zoom lense to view a specimen at a very high resolution. An electronic microscope on the other hand uses non visible electron rays to view the specimen.
