Kylie was just 36 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005. At the time the singer was preparing for a world tour and was happily in a relationship with French actor Olivier Martinez.
She sought treatment immediately, cancelling her Showgirl tour dates and staying in France with her beau.
Her sister, singer and presenter Dannii Minogue, thanked fans for their well wishes and told of her hopes that she would make speedy recovery at the time.
After a partial mastectomy and rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, Kylie was given the all-clear the following year.
