How would you write a numerical expression for 6 times the sum of 20 and 8

6(20 + 8) is your answer. this is because the meaning of "6 times" is 6 multiply and so it goes outside of the parenthesis of the sum of 20 and 8. the sum of 20 and 8 are inside the parenthesis because they are together, like the problem is together.

hope this helps, God bless!
