The length of a rectangle is 6 cm more than its width. the area of the rectangle is 256 cm2. let x represent the width of the rectangle in centimeters. what equation represents this

Ok so we know that the area of a rectangle is the length multiplied by the width.
So this means that L x W = 256
With 'X' representing the width, we know that the length is 6cm longer, so the length is (X+6)

So the relevant equation that represents this is:
X(X+6)=256
