In a 5/6 pound mixture of sand and gravel, 1/4 pound is gravel.

How much gravel is there in a 1-pound mixture?

If you find the least common denominator, 12, then that makes it 10/12 pound mixture of sand and gravel and 3/12 pound gravel. 12/12 is 1 pound. That means that there is 3/12 gravel in a 1-pound mixture. Hope I helped :)
