first subtract 40 from 54
you get 14 then divide that by 2
the answer is 7

so one bowl is $7

Hi.

We know at the cage alone costs $40. This leaves $14 for both bowls.

To find out the cost of one bowl, we divide by 2. We do this because half the price of 2 bowls equals 1.

14/2 = $7

The price of one bowl is $7.
