Nandeville and Henning are 10 miles apart. On a map, the two cities are 2 inches apart. How many miles does 1 inch represent on the map?

The answer is 5 miles. 1 inch is half of the given number (2 inches). If you are dividing 2 by 2 (to get to 1 inches), then you will divide 10 by 2, which will give you 5. I’m bad at explaining things, so I hope that helped!
